Debby Stone, an AV rated attorney, serves as Counsel to the firm in the areas of corporate, technology and intellectual property law. Debby’s legal practice focuses on representing entrepreneurs and business owners at all stages of their businesses. Her clients include various start-up ventures, traditional service businesses, consulting firms, independent contractors, companies involved in software licensing, development and consulting, and various entrepreneurial enterprises.
In addition to being a practicing lawyer, Debby is also a certified business coach. Debby received her coach training and certification through The Coaches Training Institute and works with lawyers, business leaders and entrepreneurs who want to discover and implement practical strategies to be more successful. She is the founder of InterVision Group, LLC (www.intervisiongroup.com) and co-founder of both GROWE (Georgia Roundtable of Women Entrepreneurs - www.growe.biz) and Corner Office Coaching (www.cornerofficecoaching.com).
Debby received her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from the Institute of Policy Sciences at Duke University in 1984. She then worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company and in human resources for Contel Service Corporation. She received her Juris Doctorate with high honors from the Duke University School of Law in 1989 and practiced for several years as an associate with McKenna Long & Aldridge (formerly, Long Aldridge & Norman) before opening her own practice, Stone Law Associates, in 1994. Stone Law Associates was acquired by Trusted Counsel® in 2006.
Debby is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers. Debby is also active in the business community. She currently serves on the board of ProWIN, an Atlanta based women’s networking organization, as Immediate Past President. She is also an active member in the Atlanta chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners, where she currently serves as a CEO Roundtable facilitator. She previously served on the NAWBO-Atlanta Board and was a finalist for 2005 NAWBO-Atlanta Member of the Year. Debby is also a member of the Atlanta Advisory Board for the Women’s Leadership Exchange and currently serves as a mentor in the Pathbuilders Achieva program (formerly Georgia 100).
Debby has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, The Atlanta Business Chronicle, Atlanta Woman and other publications. She is also a senior editor and contributing writer for The Complete Lawyer e-zine, has been a columnist for several Atlanta area periodicals, and currently hosts "Practical Strategies for Business Success" on Radio Sandy Springs. Debby is also active in the community and contributes her time to a number of non-profit organizations.
